2023 Symposium

Call for Posters

Calling graduate students working on the topic of food, agriculture and the environment!

The third annual OpenAg Symposium will be held on Friday 6 October 2023. A joint venture between the Oxford India Center for Sustainable Development, the University of Oxford, and UPL, the day-long conference will bring together a select group of leading academics, policymakers, industry figures, and NGO leaders from across the globe to explore the theme of Enhancing Resilience: Interventions to Deliver Lasting Change in Agriculture. As its title suggests, the conference will investigate how enhancing agricultural resilience can support farmer welfare in the face of climate change. It will also explore the intersections between resilience, nutrition, and policy in the pursuit of more equitable farming futures.

As part of this event, OpenAg Symposium wants to highlight the impactful work of Oxford’s student community through its first ever poster display! This opportunity is open to any graduate students whose work could fall under the theme Food Futures in a Changing Climate, from investigating new resilience-building technologies to examining the role of agriculture on the path to Net Zero. In other words, all projects that investigate the intersections between food, agriculture, the environment, and society are welcome.

The submission period for this poster display is now closed. If you would like to register your interest about future poster calls, please email oicsd@some.ox.ac.uk.
