Suzanne van Tilburg
Suzanne van Tilburg started her career in the nineties as Agricultural Counsellor in the Netherlands diplomatic service worldwide, from Kiev to Washington DC and Brussels. She advised the Dutch Members of Parliament on European agriculture, public health and development cooperation negotiations and legislation. In 2010 she returned to the diplomatic service as Head of the Agricultural Department at the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Moscow. She concluded her government activities with an internationalisation strategy of the Dutch Food & Agri Topsector, focusing on innovative public private projects and active SME engagement.
Since May 2015, Suzanne van Tilburg is working at Rabobank, a leading Food and Agri bank with a large footprint in emerging and developed markets with strong Food System and Energy Transition ambitions and solutions globally. As Global Head Food & Agri Networks, Suzanne strategically connects Rabobank with the world’s leading public and private institutions on food (system) transformations such as EC, UN, WEF and WBCSD. She is focusing on driving the global big conversation and action agenda around key solutions such as soil health and carbon farming, food losses and waste reduction, digitalisation of small scaled farmer ecosystems, impact finance and the True Value of Food narrative. Her team is focal point for a meaningful contribution of Rabobank to the UN Food Systems Summit 2021 and its roadmap to implementing the 2030 SDG’s.
